A self-confessed chocoholic, Jonathan began his journey at fifteen, inspired by his grandfather George, who ran a bakery in Monmouth, South Wales. From an early age, he immersed himself in the craft of pastry, baking, and chocolate making—developing a deep respect for tradition and technique.
Carolyne Perry
From an Italian-Australian background where food is both ritual and celebration, Carolyne brings warmth and discipline in equal measure. She also proudly holds the title of Taster-in-Chief , ensuring every creation meets Maison Perry’s exacting standards.

Today, every creation continues to be personally crafted by Jonathan in Sydney, carrying forward a tradition that began long before the first Maison Perry pâtisserie opened its doors.

The Heritage Cake Stand
Among the Perry family's most treasured possessions is a cake stand that has become a symbol of celebration across generations.
The stand first carried the wedding cake George crafted for Jonathan's mother. Decades later, it took pride of place once more at the wedding of Jonathan and Carolyne. A generation on, it was used again for the croquembouche Jonathan created for his son and daughter-in-law.
For the Perry family, cakes have never simply been desserts. They are part of the stories families share and the memories they pass down.
